Resources to help understand legal processes and protect legal rights, manage income taxes, credit and other finances, and obtain professional licenses.
2-1-1 Community Resource Navigation Specialists can provide information about legal services, and organizations that may mediate, intervene or offer guidance in court-related matters. They can also help individuals find programs that offer services like tax preparation, financial and credit counseling, and assistance with filing consumer complaints.
There are a variety of organizations that help people navigate both the civil and criminal justice systems (meaning city, county, state and federal courts) in a range of areas including child support, custody, divorce, protection orders, immigration and naturalization, property foreclosure filings, and even standards for weights and measures. Some of these organizations may assist in reviewing, completing or filing legal documents, while others may accompany individuals to court or provide legal representation.
There are also programs that assist individuals with common financial issues and services, such as tax preparation, credit checks, debt management, financial counseling or reviews of an individual's or household's income and expenses in order to develop budgeting plans.
We also maintain information about agencies that collect and report consumer complaints against private companies, retail establishments, health care providers, government offices and others.
2-1-1's Community Resource Navigation Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days to assist you in finding the best community resources to fit your needs.
