Substance Abuse and Other Addictions

2-1-1 Community Resource Navigation Specialists can work with you to find organizations that assess, treat and support those affected by substance abuse and addiction. Listed services may include counseling, support groups, assessment locations, outpatient, inpatient and residential treatment facilities.

There are many different types and levels of treatment and care for those affected by substance abuse. Interventionists can help prepare loved ones to have a difficult conversation; counselors and other treatment professionals work with individuals to determine the best method of treatment; detox centers help a person through their first few days of recovery; residential treatment centers provide a stable environment; and outpatient treatment centers offer on-going counseling, support groups and sober housing options.

For those experiencing an addiction to gambling, we have information about counselors who work with the state to provide services free of cost to those who need it along with support groups and instructions for excluding yourself from local casinos.

We can also help locate assistance with quitting tobacco, either over the phone, through the mail or in person, and there's help in the form in the form of support groups and education for those suffering from food, sex and other non-chemical addictions.

2-1-1's Community Resource Navigation Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days to assist you in finding the best community resources to fit your needs.
