Donations and Volunteering

Opportunities for individuals to volunteer time or provide goods and materials to community agencies.

Donations and Volunteering

2-1-1 Community Resource Navigation Specialists can work with you to find information about organizations that accept donations of goods and services as well as those that coordinate the distribution of donations to community residents, agencies, and organizations. We also have information about opportunities for people to volunteer their time, skills and labor to serve the greater good.

Not only can we tell you the specific types of items that organizations consistently need, but also other details such as: drop-off times, residential pick-up information, if donors need to call first, and if used items are accepted. In times of disaster, temporary efforts to collect goods and money are listed here.

In some counties, specific information on consistent volunteer opportunities are available (including volunteer positions related to disaster preparation and response). Details such as age limitations, background checks, training and time commitments are included as needed.

In other areas, organizations may already exist to recruit and place volunteers; if this is the case, those organizations are listed instead of specific volunteer opportunities.

2-1-1's Community Resource Navigation Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you in finding the best community resources to fit your needs.
